As we move toward the second half of the year, our focus is firmly on execution — deploying our safe-harbored panel inventory, acquiring high-quality projects and advancing solar and storage assets designed to operate reliably at scale.

As we move toward the second half of the year, our focus is firmly on execution — deploying our safe-harbored panel inventory, acquiring high-quality projects and advancing solar and storage assets designed to operate reliably at scale. From celebrating the completion of a dynamic community solar portfolio to addressing the financial frameworks needed for grid resilience, we are delivering energy solutions that power our communities today and strengthen the grid for what comes next.

Ribbon Cutting Marks a Major Milestone for New Mexico Community Solar

Pluma Construction, ForeFront Power, Solstice and Standard Solar recently joined community stakeholders to celebrate the Pino site ribbon cutting. This eight-project, 48.4-megawatt community solar portfolio will expand clean energy access and deliver electric bill savings for households across the state. For a look at the event and its impact on New Mexico's renewable energy transition, read the recent coverage in Solar Power World.

New on the Blog: Community Solar’s Next Test

In a new blog Q&A, Jeff Cramer, president and CEO of the Coalition for Community Solar Access (CCSA), addresses rising electricity demand from data centers and extreme weather. He shares insights on overcoming interconnection delays, emphasizing that faster implementation and smarter program design are nonnegotiable. Join the conversation in person at the Distributed Energy Innovation Summit, taking place May 28–29, 2026, in Washington, DC, to hear more about the policies, partnerships and innovations shaping the future of community solar.

Celebrating Innovation at PNCT

Earlier this month, the Port Newark Container Terminal (PNCT) hosted an event celebrating New Jersey's forward-thinking energy initiatives. We were honored to be recognized for Standard Solar’s 7.2-megawatt rooftop and carport project at PNCT, which recently won the Engineering Excellence Gold Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York.

RE:NEW: Operating Reliably at Scale

Our latest issue of RE:NEW explores how to deliver projects that operate reliably at scale. Inside, Shan Tomouk of Benchmark Mineral Intelligence explains frameworks to navigate long interconnection queues and rising costs. We also review virtual power plants (VPPs) and the market's recent shift toward prioritizing project certainty.

Renewables Projected for Historic Growth

Recent U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) data highlights accelerating clean energy growth. The agency forecasts utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage will add over 80 gigawatts (GW) of new capacity by early 2027. To address rising grid demands, utility-scale battery storage alone is expected to jump by more than 50%.

Community Service: Spring Clothing Drive

The Standard Solar team recently completed a clothing drive to benefit the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless (MCCH). We donated almost 30 bags of clothing and shoes to support individuals and families in our community, and we thank everyone who gave so generously!

National Military Appreciation Month

This National Military Appreciation Month, we honor all who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Veterans bring invaluable leadership, technical expertise and a mission-driven focus to the clean energy industry. We are proud to have veterans on the Standard Solar team and deeply appreciate their service.
